From 2014 through 2019 I attended classes part time to earn a dual master’s degree from the John Glenn College of Public Affairs and the School of Environment and Natural Resources at The Ohio State University. Besides taking one to three classes each semester, I did study abroad trips to Costa Rica, Iceland, and South Africa, and traveled to the Paris Climate Conference, Standing Rock, and marches for climate and science in New York City and Washington, DC. I also got arrested in civil disobedience for climate three times in Washington, DC, with Democracy Spring, Sunrise Movement, and Fire Drill Fridays.
I wrote about all of this and more in my Cathy’s Class Blog site at u.osu.edu/becker.271. That site is the precursor to this site and blog.
